Quarterly HEERF Report

 

 

UTS has signed the certification agreement for the cares grant student part.

 

UTS will receive or has received a total of $2,241,351 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

 

 

UTS has disbursed the entire  $2,241,351 to 1,791 students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

 

 

The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1,791 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of 12/10/2020 is about 1,791.

 

UTS has disbursed for each student enrolled in the Spring 2020 semester, and  has been documented to be eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, the amount of $1,000 for each dependent student,  $1,600 for each Independent student, 13 eligible dependent  students who parents live abroad have been awarded and additional award of $4,411.

 

Students received the following instructions with their grants: “As per the CARES Act, these grants are to be used for expenses that are related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19, including things like course materials and technology as well as food, housing, health care, and childcare.”
